This person will be the sole HR representative within Germany, for this multinational company. The role will span over multiple sites, so regular travel will be needed to build and maintain strong relationships and to get a first hand view on potential issues and interventions.
The workforce to be supported is predominantly highly skilled, highly educated and analytical, so we're seeking a HR leader who isn't fazed with the need to influence through data and logic and ROI explanations.

Solutions, rather than problems is where the HR function globally can really add value right now; and the need for better quality of pro-active HR support is driving the need for this new Country HR Manager role.
There is no shortage of immediate work priorities and projects, given that HR in this country particularly has historically been reactive, order taking, and administration focussed. Amongst the priorities is recruitment and engagement - open vacancies are hampering business growth, and after significant structural changes the employee stakeholders need to be motivated with clear vision and unity and consolidation.
Advanced knowledge of German employment legislation will be critical, and a history of supporting technical/engineering/scientific workforces would be highly regarded. Fluent German and English language skills will be essential.
This person will need a flair for change and OD expertise, and if offering career mobility, this person will have excellent career progression potential within the company globally.
This is one of those lovely smaller companies where the HR leader really must be a "jack of all trades", juggling between the design & implementation of strategic initiatives, whilst getting "down and dirty" with the day to day work required to keep the business running smoothly.
We do have flex on location within Germany, the salary will start from €80,000 plus package and we are offering relocation support if necessary.
