This is an unusually diverse role for a Director level specialist, to lead on global TA projects, mobility initiatives, analytics and more; for a high growth and cash rich company.
This person will focus on the design and implementation of frameworks to allow for a more efficient and value add “Centre of Excellence” model. Currently they have solid sourcing processes in place, but they need to take functional capability up to a whole new proactive level in order to be competitive in attracting talent for the future.
Large numbers of external hires are being effected annually, however work needs to be done on pipelining, employer branding, STEM candidate development, graduate hiring, internal promotions & transfers; and risk analysis for the new regions and product lines that the company is planning to expand into. Contractor management, vendor maximisation and data analysis for trend spotting all need to be factored in - this company is operating within an extremely competitive sector with globally niche skills within its workforce.
We need a professional who thinks holistically about hiring and talent management and enabling mobility across the company. Someone who isn’t afraid to throw out the rule book and take a truly creative approach to ensure this organisation attracts, retains and engages the very best calibre of professionals. Stock standard recruitment philosophies just won’t work with this company, which is full of folks with Masters and PhD smarts.
This is a high profile role, reporting into a VP of HR and Global VP of TA, and will have daily interaction with Business Leaders. All are keen to secure a high calibre leader for this role – there is a huge amount to be refreshed and created, and a high level of autonomy will be given to this person to effect the changes and improvements needed. In addition the broader talent team globally are embarking on a number of initiatives to get the function to “world class” standard, and this person can expect to get involved in a variety of international projects as a result.
Advanced communication skills will be key for both written and verbal presentations. Advanced numeracy, tech savvy, attention to detail, an international mind set and inspirational leadership skills will of course be essential. Planned travel within North America and long haul abroad is expected.
The role will be based in the San Francisco region. We’re seeking an ambitious professional for this role, as career development opportunities abound within the global TA team and the broader HR team as well. This role will be paying upwards of $190,000 base salary plus bonus plus benefits package plus LTIP. Relocation support is available.
