Current/recent employer: Current client is a small subsidiary of a significant Fortune multinational. In the past, I have been the Senior VP for International HR and Talent Management for a company of circa 1 bn€ sales and over 5,000 employees
Remits of particular interest: Change, Transition, Post-Merger Integration, Digitization, Labor & Employment Law, Restructuring, Comp & Ben, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, International HR (including expat management).
Unique expertise: Mergers & Acquisitions (including Due Diligence, Post Merger Integration), global employee mobility (international assignment management)
Commerciality: A couple of years ago, I was confronted with a situation where global mobility of employees was low while the company was expanding into BRIC countries. I created new benefits and services while restructuring base compensation, improved preparation for international assignments and significantly enhanced reintegration and long-term career perspectives. Additionally I developed a comprehensive global expat policy in order to manage global mobility as efficiently as possible. The result: a dramatic increase in global mobility thanks to which all critical vacancies could timely be filled, post-assignment attrition be halved, and overall expat cost be reduced by 1m € p.a.
Strengths: My biggest strength is to combine a systemic approach with pragmatic solutions: My thinking is complex while my acting is simple. This requires strong business acumen and empathy. And this is why I find appropriate and sustainable solutions that are easy to accept by different stakeholders.
