My experience means that I very quickly see the gaps which will hinder success and how they need to be addressed.
Commerciality: Whilst Head HR APAC, salary budgeting was not being tightly managed and so governance was put into place. As I moved back into Corporate HQ, I realised this was a global issue and provided data and analysis for the global HRLT, and CHRO which resulted in much more stringent approach saving $1.3m over six months, with a further forecast saving of $2.5m for the following year. The raising of this with the business (via CHRO), resulted in greater awareness and management by the business of their salary budgets, and subsequent reporting in partnership with Finance enabled visibility and choiceful management of salary awards through the year
Strengths: I am an intuitive and insightful partner and coach to clients, peers and teams, and someone who will be persistent and determined and get the tough stuff done. I consider myself a business person with HR expertise, and so contribute from a business perspective with the aim of market and revenue growth. I'm insightful and perceptive and a good identifier of talent, I'm known as an innovative problem solver with strong interpersonal and inter-cultural skills and am curious, collaborative and want to bring out the best in people and organizations.
Need to know: I'm passionate and have high demands about HR and it's purpose, requiring that it adds business value (versus process management ) and earns respect. I believe growing and nurturing talent is an essential part of every role. I have excellent judgement on people, and will challenge and coach to push leaders to "show up" as their best self and don't accept mediocrity.
