Global TA Projects Director - USA or UK - equivalent USD 190,000 + package

This is an unusually diverse role for a Director level project management specialist, to lead on global TA projects, mobility initiatives, analytics and more; for a high growth and cash rich company.
The successful candidate will have an uncompromising understanding of the governance and mechanics around large scale, multiple projects with global and regional execution under their (six sigma) belt!
This person will be the “go to” projects specialist reporting into a Global VP of Talent Acquisition, and will have significant responsibilities as the architect of the entire PMO infrastructure. This will include complete and cohesive governance of all programs including quality management, finance, planning and resources, risk management, stakeholder, supplier & change management and communications. This high-profile role can also expect to be supporting and guiding the leadership team on the operating vision and the all-encompassing impacts of change.
Success in this role will be dependent on efficient, forward thinking action review and ‘joining the dots’ to ensure operational excellence and telling a clear, focussed story on every program. Strong initiative and excellent collaboration will also be the key to stellar performance. This person will know what operational excellence looks like and won’t have any issues with jumping in and ‘getting their hands dirty’ should their expertise and advice be required at individual program level.
Large numbers of external hires for this company are being effected annually around the world. Subsequently, immediate project priorities include the need for sustainable talent pipelining, employer branding, STEM candidate development, creation of consistent international mobility frameworks, internal promotions & transfers; and risk analysis for the new regions and product lines that the company is planning to expand into. Contractor management, vendor maximisation and data analysis for trend spotting all need to be factored in - this company is operating within an extremely competitive sector with globally niche skills within its workforce, which is full of folks with Masters and PhD smarts.
All stakeholders are keen to secure a high calibre leader for this role – there is a huge amount to be refreshed and created, and a high level of autonomy will be given to this person to effect the changes and improvements needed.
Advanced communication skills will be key for both written and verbal presentations
Advanced numeracy, tech savvy, and attention to detail will be critical, and tested as part of the hiring process
An demonstrated instinct for compliance and governance loopholes, an international mind set and inspirational influencing skills be essential
A work history within the pharma/biotech/med tech/med devices sectors will be highly regarded
Tertiary qualifications along with formal Six Sigma/Prince qualifications will be expected
A track record in working with US headquartered companies will be preferred
A history in having lived & worked outside of your home country will be of particular interest
The role can be based either in the San Francisco Bay area or in the West London region. High levels of regular but planned travel can be expected across the company's multi continent sites.
This role will be paying upwards of $190,000 base salary (or UK equivalent depending on location); plus bonus, plus benefits package, plus LTIP. Generous relocation support is available.
