R&D Talent Acquisition Director - San Francisco, California - above market salary, bonus, LTIP

HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER

This role will lead the R&D talent acquisition team for one of our favourite employer companies - well-established, cash rich, and reputable; within the private health sector.   Reporting into a dynamic Global VP of TA, this R&D leader will be instrumental in driving TA services at a "world class" level in order to achieve ongoing growth plans.

Given the location of R&D executives, this role will need to be based exclusively within the San Francisco region to ensure those "water cooler" moments are experienced daily!

This person will be leading a mid sized team, along with RPO support, to effect all hires needed within the research & development community, inclusive of graduate entry through to experienced and executive hires.  Key internal stakeholders will be Business Executives and their leadership teams, along with HR leaders within the USA and abroad.

There is an appetite to take the TA function beyond being simply an effective recruitment service.  Currently the team have reasonably good process and frameworks for day to day service delivery.  However, with an increasing scarcity of their niche skilled, globally scarce candidates, we need a holistically minded TA leader who can innovate on more pro-active, creative and resourceful solutions for finding, securing and keeping talent.

We need an executive who can work independently to drive through strategic interventions, who has the gravitas to manage difficult stakeholders and who will take a "future thinking" view to hiring and talent management.  There is an immediate need to improve upon the utilisation of tech, social media, AI, networks, referrals, employer branding, and "candidate experience".  There is a keen executive interest in the utilisation of data to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more.

Executive level communication skills will be key for both written and verbal presentations.   Advanced analytics and numeracy, tech and trend savvy, attention to detail, will of course be essential.

University degree plus other tertiary education qualifications are preferred.  Whilst international markets experience is not mandatory, it will be well regarded.  This company is keen to secure a leader who has direct experience within a science driven organisation - medical devices, life sciences, aerospace, chemicals, biotech, or pharma for example.

An executive package will be offered for this role, reflective of the west coast costs of living!  Generous relocation support is also available and the company has a track record for ensuring successful mobility transitions.  This company is open to hiring either US citizens or professionals who have eligibility for US work visa status.
