French speaking HR Communications Leader

With the continued growth of this organization, and workforces operating remotely across multiple jurisdictions, this company has an urgent need to improve upon HR service delivery. There is high demand for the HR team to support the business in a more strategic, efficient and agile way; which in turn is driving this need for a communications guru to join their team.

This person will be responsible for initiating and implementing a range of initiatives that will help to attract, retain and continuously engage niche talent and high performance professionals within this international company. Working directly with an inspiring CHRO, this will be a wide-ranging role, targeting communications across all divisions and departments, ranging from C-suite through to entry-level employees. The success of this person will have an immediate impact on day to day service delivery of every specialist team within the existing HR function inclusive of:

  • providing tailored, consistent communications support to Talent Acquisition teams to aid their improvements on time to hire, quality of hire, hiring manager satisfaction, and overall candidate experience. This person will also be leading on projects to drive employee branding and accessibility to diverse candidate pools.

  • facilitating presentations and broader communications strategies for an array of Compensations and Benefits plans, both current and proposed; to ensure engagement, understanding, and utilisation of reward initiatives inclusive of achieving greater transparency between performance and reward.

  • sharing workforce and talent management trends with the HRBP and broader business community, and aiding them to promote new programs spanning mobility, flex work, contracting vs salaried work and more - all with a view to providing fairness, equality, and ensuring up to date market intelligence for internal decision-makers.

Our new Communications Leader will offer the following:

  • Advanced knowledge of the technical workings of a HR function

  • Excellent interpersonal, project management, business writing, and communication skills

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change across a matrix organization

  • Experience of building and maintaining communications strategies through an array of mediums inclusive of company review websites, career websites and social media

  • Evidence of creativity and tailoring of events and campaigns unique to various jurisdictions, cultures, and social demographics

  • A stable, salaried career history that shows clear development & advancement within reputable companies - apologies but consulting contractors cannot be considered for this role

  • Formal academic qualifications in communications and/or marketing and/or advertising will be highly regarded, albeit are not essential

  • Fluent written and verbal French and English language skills

 This role can be based from Canada or the USA with a remote work arrangement. Monthly, planned travel will be required into Montreal, and other planned travel can be expected as needed nationally and internationally. 

Salary base circa CAD$120,000 (flexible depending on experience level) plus package; and this hire is available to Canadian & US citizens and professionals who have immediate eligibility for a Canadian work visa.
