In addition to managing your own workload of executive level searches, you’ll need to build and inspire a team and design and implement all of the required frameworks, that will allow for successful and sustainable scaling of this niche specialist TA offering. You’ll be relied upon as the subject matter expert for meaningful engagement and talent pipe lining of leadership populations; for the introduction of targeted assessments of niche executive populations; for audits and interventions to ensure timely succession plan coverage; and strategic planning advice talent availability risk as this company continues to expand into new markets and product lines.
In addition, there will be plenty of opportunity for strategic input into broader TA function improvements, ranging from maximising RPO support for sourcing, improving D&I strategies, introducing new assessment methodologies, and building on the EVP in a highly competitive market for talent. Key internal stakeholders will be Business Executives and their leadership teams, along with HR leaders within the USA and abroad.
We’ve seen significant investment by this company for TA tools, resource and infrastructure in recent months, and we continue to observe heavy executive appetite for ongoing investment to enable TA capabilities. Currently the broader TA team have reasonably good process and frameworks for day to day service delivery. However, with an increasing scarcity of niche skilled, globally scarce, specialist candidates at senior levels within this sector, we need a holistically minded TA leader who understands the nuances of executive level hiring and who can innovate on more pro-active, creative and resourceful solutions for finding, engaging and securing talent.
Thought leadership will be welcomed to improve upon the utilisation of tech, social media, AI, networks, referrals, employer branding, and "candidate experience". The executive stakeholders are all keen to utilise quality data to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more; so this person will need to be comfortable with analytics.
Advanced English will be essential for both written and verbal presentations to Executive level leaders; and attention to detail, will need to be exceptional. Given the PhD community within this key workforce, a reputable university degree plus other tertiary education qualifications will be well regarded. A TA professional who has historically worked within an executive search agency in addition to data driven in-house environments would be very comfortable in this kind of company culture - the executive stakeholders are all keen for factual analysis to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more, so your numeracy and analytics skills will need to be exceptional.
Whilst international markets experience is not mandatory, it will be useful. Direct experience within a science driven organisation, with an advanced knowledge of pharma/biotech/med devices industries will be extremely useful to gain traction and credibility with key stakeholders quickly.
Given the location of key company executives, this role will be based from Westchester County, New York, to ensure those "water cooler" moments are experienced daily! Salary and package is reflective of the cost of living in this area, with generous relocation support, exceptional annual bonus potential and LTIP awards, and financial consideration to avoid loss on any accrued performance bonuses and / or LTIP vesting values.
This will be a particularly interesting career role for an ambitious Executive Search professional who is keen to develop to Director/VP level, and build on her/his own team management capabilities.
