International HR leader – well resourced, exciting startup experiencing "wow" growth - Dallas or San Francisco

HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER

With a proven formula for profitable growth, and extensive funding in hand after just 6 years of operations, this company is setting the standard for start-up success. The story book tale of identifying a gap in the market, addressing the gap and blowing the competition out of the water has seen the company grow to a hugely successful business, generating multiple millions in revenue and embarking on an ambitious global expansion plan.

The key pressure standing in the way of achieving the company’s ongoing growth objectives, is finding and securing high calibre international talent. They’ve already grown from 1 to many thousands of staff and need strong HR leadership to help drive further expansion.

Thus, the creation of this new role, which will partner directly with the CHRO and key Business Leaders; whilst building a high performing global HR team; as well as formulating strategy, frameworks, process, and then managing execution of a broad ranging HR agenda.

This person will have ownership of:

  • Leading, mentoring, developing (and helping to hire!) a mid sized team of HR Business Partners who will be based in various countries around the world.

  • Recognising regional and global trends and helping to navigate those to provide consistency and stability in an ever-evolving environment.

  • Creating innovative, commercially viable and relevant HR strategy and frameworks.

  • Managing change and OD through use of technology, data and cultural understanding.

We need an HR Leader who can work independently to drive through strategic interventions, has the gravitas to manage a widely varying group of stakeholders and who will take a "future thinking" view in developing the HR infrastructure and leading the International HR Team. Executive level communication skills will be key for both written and verbal presentations.   Advanced analytics and numeracy, tech and trend savvy, and attention to detail, will of course be essential.

We have a number of “wish list” hiring criteria given the planned size and scope of this role, but at a minimum our ideal professional will have achieved:

  • University degree plus other tertiary education qualifications / professional development

  • A stable, tenured career of within a blend of “best in class” corporations as well as direct experience for the pressures and pace and ambiguity and chaos (!) of a fledgling company in hyper-growth mode

  • A track record of inspiring and leading high performance HR teams around the world, ideally in having led at least 20 HRBP’s within a formal Ulrich / CofE HR model

  • Direct experience with Asian markets as well as other international markets - perhaps even a history of having lived and worked abroad to aid in depth of multicultural understanding

  • Demonstrated history of successes with organisational design, talent management and cultural change management projects with proven expertise at influencing via data and measurable ROI initiatives.

Apologies but our hiring execs will not consider career contractors at this time.

Given the “next step” growth markets, we have flex to base this role within Dallas or San Francisco.  On-going and extensive international travel should be expected, so a current passport will be essential!

An executive package will be offered for this role, with a base salary flexing depending on location (we all know the pressures of SanFran costs of living!) and a hefty stock award which has the potential to be a “life changing” factor.  This company is open to hiring either US citizens or professionals with a US Green Card.
