Global CHRO - build and develop focus, salary, STIP+LTIP

ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER

This organisation is made up of multiple entities, each operating with its own P&L and leadership teams. Whilst this continues to enable dynamic decision-making and lighting fast pivots to meet market demands, the executive group have recognised they’re missing the benefits of a centralised approach to talent management and broader HR services.

Thus the creation of this role with a significant shopping list of requirements to help this organisation to “come of age” and be enabled for further success. Envisaged competing priorities for this person will include:

  • transparency and consistency for performance and reward plans

  • fast tracking functional digitalisation

  • building tools and internal capabilities to attract, engage and retain talent

  • building HR frameworks that provide consistency for policy & procedures

  • pivoting rewards to drive values reinforcement and desired “long view” behaviours

  • enabling a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous career development

  • ensuring that HR compliance does not stifle entrepreneurialism, creativity and nimble decision making

  • developing and building a commercially savvy, forward-thinking HR function

  • thought leadership for maximising the benefits of a multicultural, multigenerational and diverse workforce

This person will have full sponsorship from the C-suite community - a team of well-educated, emotionally intelligent professionals who are deep subject matter experts in their fields; led by an inspiring CEO who has deep appetite for ensuring behaviours, culture and ethics are linked to performance and reward measures. There are already pockets of HR across the organisation to be developed, and the company has committed significant budget and resource to enabling functional success.

The circa 600 person workforce is made up of niche skilled, technically minded, highly educated specialists, who will best be influenced through facts, data and ROI considerations. They will appreciate the gravitas of a HR leader who offers a “been there, got the t-shirt” level of experience, and see this CHRO as being pivotal to the ongoing growth and global expansion plans of the organization.

Our ideal executive leader will offer:

  • a work history that spans private sector hyper-growth companies, ideally within services industries that feature high values for client sales contracts and/or within companies that require compliance within financial services regulations

  • a track record of building, developing and inspiring business leadership and HR teams across multiple continents

  • extensive first-hand experience in supporting globally scarce, niche skilled, high fee earning workforces

  • exceptional commercial acumen (and the ability to read a P&L and interpret a balance sheet will be tested as part of the hiring process)

  • fluent verbal and written English language skills that enable successful Board level presentations

  • a keen interest and curiosity for disruptive technology, talent management, and “future of work” practices

  • a history of having lived across other countries and possibly continents as part of an international career

A stable, salaried career history that shows clear career progression and professional development will be well regarded. Unfortunately, career contractors will not be considered at this time.

Whilst some flexibility can be offered on base location, we have a definite preference for London, given the number of key stakeholders in that location. A hybrid work arrangement is viable but this is not a remote work role. Regular but planned travel can be expected across the world, so full Covid vaccinations and a current passport will be essential. Package is expected to start from £450,000 and includes STIP, LTIP and relocation support if required. Work visa sponsorship may be available for current US, UK or EU passport holders.
