Interim HR Director - Business Partner, Europe

Fixed term contract, from £120,000 per annum pro rata

Are you the kind of HR leader who drives continuous improvement within your workplaces and constantly looks for ways to add commercial value? Are you someone who thrives on the variety of all-around generalist work whilst being a trusted business partner? Do you enjoy the challenges of juggling local and international work priorities?

 We're seeking this type of HR leader to take on full functional accountability for key distribution sites and commercial teams across the European region. Partnering with a newly installed President for the region, you’ll be evolving HR frameworks to drive a culture of innovation combined with sustainable, profitable, and ethical growth.

Leading a small team of HR professionals scattered across the region, this person will also have access to specialist support from global CofE teams.

Immediate projects to be owned by this leader include:

  • Leading the transformation and harmonisation programme for the region's payroll of circa 400 employees.

  • Alignment of EMEA HR processes with international HR strategy (whilst also being a direct contributor to the wider commercial HR strategy for the company).

  • Delivering a talent review process spanning all levels of workforce across the region.

  • Supporting the improvement of SG&A savings by enabling productivity and operational process efficiencies.

  • Mentoring and developing a HR team that is in need of inspiring leadership.

  • Working with international peers to create an HR function that is consistent in approach and proactive in enabling data led decision making.

The regional business leaders want this HR professional to be a key contributor within their management team and to join them in being a visible presence to their communities. As a result, our hiring execs are keen to secure an HR Leader who has the ability to undertake weekly travel to key UK and European sites - this is not a work from home role.

With a base salary from £120,000pa, the role does require advanced knowledge of European market nuances, and a deep understanding of blue and white collar work practices. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential to be a salaried role, and an anticipated start date of April 30th. A UK employment contract will be issued so only applicants with current UK work visa/residency rights will be eligible.
