North America HRD - hybrid work arrangement with travel

If you enjoy working within the vagueries of an entreprenerial environment, and have a history of delivering measurable value within manufacturing sector companies, then this could be the next career challenge for you..

This role will report immediately into a CHRO, directly supporting a General Manager and an assortment of production site leaders, who have high appetite for commercially pragmatic HR interventions. Your focus will be on managing teams of site HR managers to ensure they provide proactive support for the day-to-day HR needs of an assortment of specialist production sites, whilst working with business stakeholders to anticipate strategic HR programs that will enable this business to continue its market expansion.

We’re seeking a thoughtful HR professional who can bring calm and order to passionate and at times disorderly leadership teams - who get so caught up with ideas, new technologies and market potential, that execution and consistency of quality sometimes goes astray…

You’ll need to be an HR professional with strong all-round generalist skills and a genuine flair for robust business partnerships.  The building of additional sites is likely, as is the adoption of new manufacturing technologies, and with a healthy book of advanced client orders, so you’ll also be expected to think through and effect the scaling up existing HR frameworks.

There is no shortage of variety in the day to day workload with priorities including:

  • Maintaining effective site leadership relationships based on partnership and proactivity

  • Deployment and support of HR technologies to reduce administration and tactical work

  • Alignment of regional HR processes with international HR strategy (you will also be expected to be a key contributor to the global HR strategy for the company).

  • Workforce planning to maximise productivity in some particularly competitive talent markets

  • Contribution to a long term Talent Acquisition and Management strategy (further growth cannot happen without hiring additional employees and investing in their professional development and career pathways)

  • Ownership of diversity and wellbeing programs and ongoing development of tools that add to the employee value proposition

  • Support on the development and coaching for all levels of management at all locations, who have currently a range of tenure and people leadership skills

  • Collation of data and preparation of analytics to enable informed business decision making

This HR leader should be prepared to be a visible and inspiring presence across the sites spanning circa 10 states – relationship building is paramount and the business leaders want these persons to be key contributors in supporting their management teams and workforces. As this is not a fully remote work arrangement, although flex for office vs home working is possible.

An ambitious professional will have opportunities to “bolt on” additional international site responsibilities as part of a career development plan, and possibilities to be a successor to the current CHRO depending on level of global markets experience.

Package includes a base salary from $220,000 (depending on experience level) plus annual performance bonus, and LTIP as part of the HRLT. Relocation support may also available within the USA for current US citizens and green card holders.

If this sounds like the challenge you've been seeking for your next career move, we’d love to hear from you and promise to respond to your application within 24 working hours. Interviews are being scheduled currently, with a view to an employment offer being extended in the coming weeks.
