Regional HR Director - USA
Regional HR Director for fast growing, specialist manufacturing company. Focus on enabling continued business growth whilst simultaneously up-skilling the HR team.
Remit challenge: Working directly with the VP of HR and key business execs to build frameworks that would facilitate and enable increased levels of commercial growth driven by acquisition and new product launches. Need to bring a “modern” thinking approach to HR interactions with stakeholders after a history of HR being more focused on administration and process rather than strategic and proactive interventions. There was also a desire from our hiring execs to secure a professional with experience working in a large, complex matrix organisation and significant Six Sigma or Lean methodology expertise. .
Hiring Challenges: Despite a market competitive salary the LTIP and STIP were low, and securing highly commercial, strategically astute HR Leaders with a true international mindset and experience of diverse cultures for a role based in the Carolina’s was always going to be a challenge.
Solution: A comprehensive search through our networks across the US allowed us to identify and isolate top level HR leaders who were prepared to take a “risk” on a lesser known yet up and coming industry name. Our recommended candidates were interviewing directly with our hiring executives within 4 weeks of the brief being shared with us. We successfully secured an HR Director who met with all hiring criteria, as well as offering additional expertise across the talent agenda and that person has been receiving high performance ratings since joining.
