Senior HR Leader - MA, USA - USD 180,000 base + package + LTIP
HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER
This role will join the newly created global HR team for a half billion-dollar revenue company, seeking to double in size in a short space of time – they’re cash rich and ready to invest in measures for organic growth, and ongoing M&A activity.
We’re seeking professionals with strong HR generalist histories in addition to more mature HRBP experience, given this is an HR function in development with no shortage of projects to be designed and implemented.
Partnering with leaders of US business units, this role will directly contribute to building frameworks for regional and global consistency, fairness and efficiency; without stifling innovation and creativity. Working in this high-tech sector, it is imperative that the workforce be encouraged and rewarded for ideas, to enable the company to continue their expansion within newly established and many, as yet, untapped markets. This person will need to have a focus on solutions rather than policy hurdles!
Immediate challenges include:
Increasing headcount for globally niche skilled STEM talent in a highly competitive market
Change management support needed to enable a rapidly expanding workforce
Talent engagement, retention and development will be critical, as will talent pipelining
The need to juggle between tactical delivery of operational necessities vs bigger picture strategy development and thought leadership.
Significant leadership and mentoring responsibilities to upskill other HR team members
This organisation has worked hard to keep their ‘entrepreneurial roots’ and they still have the agility of decision making (often around water coolers!) that is typical of a fast track company – collaboration remains in their DNA. They also have the maturity to recognise that robust frameworks will be key to enable significant and sustainable growth and it’s exciting to see they have the cash and executive support to invest in quality resources.
Our ideal professional will have:
A history of working successfully across the complicated matrix of multinational companies, for the first-hand understanding of what “good” HR can comprise.
First-hand experience of the “getting stuck in” element that is part of any young, dynamically growing organisation.
The aptitude to “roll up your sleeves” and helping with whatever is needed to get the job done in this quasi start up environment!
Advanced commercial acumen, along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “now” as the constant deadline expectation!
Exposure to M&A either from due diligence and/or integration & harmonisation perspectives will be useful.
Gravitas to influence and guide C-suite stakeholders.
Career runway to be the potential successor to the current CHRO.
Direct experience working within tech sector companies will be highly regarded.
A stable, salaried career history - apologies, but the hiring leaders do not wish to engage career contractors or consultants.
Relocation support is available and some (planned) domestic and long haul travel should be expected for this career role based near Framingham (MA). With no exceptions, only US citizens and/or current Green Card holders can be considered for this role.
