This is the perfect role for the HR professional who enjoys the strategic advisory elements of an HR Business Partner leadership role, combined with the constant variety of a full generalist remit for effecting hiring, coaching & training, compensation & benefits reviews, Works Council interactions, succession planning, leadership development, talent pipe-lining, performance management, and employee engagement.
This person will be a key member of the leadership team at this manufacturing site, leading a small HR team to achieve this division’s ongoing growth plans. The workforce to be supported is predominantly highly skilled, and the business leadership team is well educated and analytically savvy, so we're seeking a HR leader who isn't fazed with the need to influence through data and logic and ROI explanations.
With a recent revamp to global HR capabilities, this company is keen to secure a HR leader that wants to be an integral part of the site executive team; and who has the appetite and skills to be a trusted advisor and key driver for an aggressive growth and productivity agenda. Solutions, rather than problems is where this HR team can really add value right now; and combined with advanced commercial acumen, this person has many opportunities to add tangible value, fast.
There is no shortage of immediate work priorities and projects, inclusive of recruitment and engagement - open vacancies are hampering business growth, and creativity will be needed to attract talent in a highly competitive market.
Advanced knowledge of German employment legislation will be critical, along with a track record of successfully effecting win-win negotiations with German works councils. An advanced understanding of LEAN methodologies or Six Sigma & equivalent methodologies would be highly regarded. Fluent German and English language skills will be essential.
This person will need a flair for change and OD expertise, and if offering career mobility, this person will have excellent career progression potential within the company globally.
This is one of those lovely smaller companies where the HR leader really must be a "jack of all trades", juggling between the design & implementation of strategic initiatives, whilst getting "down and dirty" with the day to day work required to keep the business running smoothly.
Based ideally from Kiel in Germany, this role offers a salary from €110,000 plus generous package, and relocation support is also on offer for EU citizens.
