Employee Benefits Leader - international change management agenda - London, with relocation package on offer
HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER
This global employer is seeking an Employee Benefits expert, for an unusually broad ranging role that spans far beyond the usual benefits administration and management agenda!
This company has unusual layers of complexity after a period of considerable growth and organisational change. As a result, they have significant inconsistencies across their employee benefits programs, with a frequent disconnect between the benefits being offered and those that are demographically relevant and valued; thus the need for this critical and high-profile role.
Reporting to the EMEA C&B Director, you’ll have ownership of benefits strategy across the region. You’ll be leading a team of 4 direct reports, and whilst they’re busy with daily administration and benefits management, you’ll be focussed on a “deep dive” review of all existing benefits, inclusive of ROI and take-up rates. You will then be planning the changes needed to ensure all local and regional benefits are appropriate, and market competitive in the attraction, engagement and retention of this company’s niche skilled staff.
With the company’s ongoing growth agenda, your role will be critical in building sustainable frameworks to ensure benefits are regarded as fair, relevant and desirable within total reward packages.
In addition, a new global benefits tool is due to be launched, and you’ll own that implementation regionally - working through your team plus key HR and business stakeholders to ensure that embedding and utilisation lands as expected.
Without doubt there will be “heavy lifting” as part of the overall benefits change agenda, so you’ll need to be the type who thrives on high degrees of ambiguity and challenge, with exceptional levels of initiative, persistence, collaboration and communication. You’ll also need advanced skills for culturally sensitivity and empathy whilst working across the circa 50 countries within your remit!
Essential hiring criteria includes (but is not limited to):
Deep expertise or advanced knowledge of Employee Benefits across multiple European countries
Significant experience in effecting successful change management programs across multiple jurisdictions
A track record of successfully navigating through complex matrix and reporting structures
An ability to influence through facts and relationships
Advanced project management skills, and detailed precision for the creation of processes and reporting tools to track and assess the progress of projects
Ability to adjust your communication and presentation style to an array of stakeholders
Advanced commercial savvy
Risk assessment abilities in interpreting benefits related compliance requirements and change management routes across a range of jurisdictions
Gravitas to aid in influencing stakeholders, with the courage to do “the right and fair thing” whilst effecting change
A stable career history working for medium to large sized international corporations (apologies but career contractors cannot be considered for this hire)
This role could well suit the C&B professional who has an interest in building on their Benefits expertise, or the Benefits consultant who has an interest in working in-house; as well as the existing Benefits professional who wants to build upon their change management expertise within a globally recognised, household brand company.
Regular travel can be expected across the region and occasionally to the US. Based from London, this role will offer an annual base salary from £95,000 (upward flex dependent on experience and expertise levels) along with a hefty performance bonus (over 40%) and other market competitive benefits. A generous relocation package is also on offer to current EU citizens, and the company has a history of investing heavily to enable fast-tracking of career progression for ambitious professionals.
