Global HR Business Partner - circa 180,000 base plus package
ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER
This multinational employer is seeking an HR leader with deep experience in supporting technology communities, to be the expert HR partner for a global CIO with an agenda for change.
This company is well established in their market but still has strong growth prospects, stemming from R&D innovation that is creating new product and market opportunities, plus significant M&A activity around the world. Creating an agile, continuously improving IT function, and embracing digital and automated technologies will be key to enabling market competitiveness; resulting in high levels of executive appetite and resources to continue investing in the company’s IT frameworks and digital innovation.
An upgrade of IT functions around the world has already commenced, reducing duplication, inefficiencies, cost and risk; whilst gaining consistency for technical frameworks and ensuring adherence to local and regional legislations. This CIO is also tackling challenges relating to workforces in regions with limited IT infrastructure. Whilst this functional transformation is far from complete, this leader is now accelerating the adoption of digital services for a variety of internal and external customer groups globally.
As a result, we need an experienced HR Business Partner who can help to ensure all of these changes are successful, despite the complications of many subsidiary units falling under the company “umbrella” and a mish-mash of centralised and decentralised operational frameworks. Challenges are likely given the CIO’s focus on action and delivery at pace, rather than protracted consultations and team nurturing. This is also a leader and workforce who are influenced by data and numbers and logical, factual reasoning, rather than emotion, so this HR Business Partner will need to be excited about tech innovation and comfortable with analytics! Additionally, this company is in an industry outside of the tech sector - so isn’t an automatic employer of choice for IT and Digital experts, requiring creativity to attract and retain niche skilled employees in a globally competitive market.
Working primarily as a sole contributor, this HR leader will need to inspire and develop remote teams of HR professionals scattered around the world who are supporting the IT function in their local regions; and will have access to all the HR resources within the parent corporation, including some well-established CoE's for deep technical expertise. This person will also be a key advisor & contributor to the global HR executive team.
Who are we seeking:
Advanced commercial acumen will be critical, along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “now” as the constant deadline expectation!
Exposure to M&A either from due diligence and/or integration & harmonisation perspectives will be useful.
Direct experience in working within the “can do” culture of a US corporate will be highly regarded.
Well-rounded expertise for all the specialty areas of HR
A track record for delivering solutions to enable effective oganisational change and talent management for international workforces across multiple continents.
Board level English for verbal and written presentations
A stable, salaried career history that shows clear career progression and professional development will be well regarded. Unfortunately, career contractors will not be considered at this time
Given the international nature of this role, preference will be given to EU and UK and Swiss citizens who have lived and worked outside of their home countries.
This is a high profile role, and success will certainly provide many ongoing development & progression opportunities within other divisions of the parent corporation around the world.
Paying a negotiable CHF 180,000 base + bonus + benefits package with a work base ideally in Basel, Switzerland (although locations within a commuting distance to Berkshire may also be feasible). Relocation support is available and frequent and planned European and long haul travel should be expected (post Covid restrictions) .
Interviews are being scheduled currently with an appetite for this HR leader to commence ideally within Q3 of this year. Interested professionals can apply directly and confidentially via solutions@cartermorris.com quoting CMTS00269
