Global HR Business Partner - cash rich, reputable employer, USA
ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER
This multinational employer is seeking an HR leader with deep experience in supporting STEM communities, to drive ongoing market expansion, product innovation, operational efficiencies, and an innovative talent management agenda.
The company is a “poster child” for success in their niche product market but still has strong growth prospects, due to ongoing R&D investment that is creating new product development and market opportunities, plus significant M&A activity around the world. Maintaining agile, continuously improving, technical functions, and seeking opportunities for further digital and automated technologies will be key to ongoing market competitiveness. The existing HR team has been credited as key to enabling the company’s historic success, creating high levels of executive appetite to continue building up HR capabilities, thus the creation of this new role.
We need an experienced HR Business Partner who will be the “go-to” expert for key divisions within the company, staffed with increasingly scarce, skilled technical professionals. Whilst this company is a leader in their field, they’re not a known brand outside of their niche market segment - so isn’t an automatic employer of choice for IT and Digital experts, requiring creativity to attract and retain employees in a globally competitive market. Knowledge transfer, inclusivity for Gen Z plus increasingly multinational & geographically dispersed staff, retaining an entrepreneurial and dynamic culture, integrating acquisitions - are just some of the many projects to be managed; in addition to continuously upgrading HR services and providing proactive risk management counsel to executive stakeholders.
Working primarily as a sole contributor in this high-profile role, this HR leader will need to inspire and develop teams of HR professionals scattered around the world; with short-mid term potential to actually take on formal leadership of these teams. CofE’s have been set up to provide deep knowledge support, and any counsel from this person on helping the current HR model to evolve will be welcomed.
This company has a proven culture of respecting and caring for its employees - these values are hardwired into the DNA of its C-suite team. We have worked with this organization repeatedly as they’ve grown and can vouch for high-performance leaders across the HR function being given “stretch” projects, formal development opportunities, and promotions based on merit rather than tenure.
Success in this role will be helped for the senior level HR Business Partner who offers:
Advanced commercial acumen along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “now” as the constant deadline expectation!
Exposure to M&A either from due diligence and/or integration & harmonisation perspectives
Direct experience in working within a “can do” company culture
Well-rounded expertise for all the specialty areas of HR
A track record for delivering solutions to enable effective oganisational change and talent management for international workforces across multiple continents
Authentic curiosity for tech innovation and the ability to influence through data and factual reasoning, rather than emotion without evidence
Board level English for verbal and written presentations
A stable, salaried career history that shows clear career progression and professional development will be well regarded. Unfortunately, career contractors will not be considered at this time
Given the international nature of this role, preference will be given to US citizens and current GreenCard holders who have supported workforces outside of North America and/or can evidence advanced multicultural sensitivity.
Paying a negotiable USD 160,000 base + STIP + LTIP + benefits package, this person will ideally be based in the Boston/Middlesex County area of Massachusetts with some work from home flex. Generous relocation support is available and occasional long haul travel should be expected (post-Covid restrictions) so a current passport and full vaccination status will be necessary.
Interviews are being scheduled currently with an appetite for this HR leader to commence ideally within the New Year. Interested professionals can apply directly and confidentially via solutions@cartermorris.com quoting CMTS00305.
