Divisional HR Director - Minnesota, USA with relocation on offer
ROLE FILLED - HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OFFER
This role is perfect for an ambitious professional who is solidly grounded in the workings of a competitive P&L focussed international business. Leading a small HR team and having access to newly formed CoE’s, this person will take HR business partnering to "the next level".
The existing team is performing well for the fulfillment of HR administration and process and day to day service delivery; but they need to offer more proactive support to business leaders in an array of areas inclusive of talent attraction, engagement, retention; workforce productivity; talent pipelining; labor relations; leadership development; mobility; and career pathways.
The role requires ownership of “clean” manufacturing sites within a high-growth division of this global company, spanning niche skilled professionals and blue collar hourly rate staff. With ongoing and rapid growth on the agenda, the HR team have no shortage of work ahead to ensure robust frameworks to support sustainable and profitable growth.
Supporting a Business President and Executive team, this person will also need to be comfortable and credible in presenting data analysis, market trends, talent and reward recommendations. Advanced knowledge of local labor laws, and a history of successfully effecting collective bargaining agreements with win-win outcomes for all parties will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in directly leading and developing an HR team will be critical - we will be seeking evidence of mentoring, coaching and inspiring others to perform.
The company is well resourced and reputable, and its products are literally helping to save the lives of people around the world - you should achieve great satisfaction from working in a mission-driven culture, and the company offers genuinely diverse career opportunities to its high-performance employees. They do however have limited global HR initiatives in place, which gives this person an opportunity to design policy and programmes that are relevant for multiple country markets around the world. It will also provide an immediate challenge - how to offer a more strategic HR service when the team is too frequently caught up with day-to-day tactical work.....
The role is open to US citizens and current US Green Card holders; and will ideally be based in the lovely lakes district of Douglas County in Minnesota. Significant relocation support from other locations within the USA is available combined with a level of flex office attendance once you’re based in the region. An emphasis on employee wellbeing, plus an agenda for environmental protection means this role won’t be ideal for someone who wants to travel to the area frequently, rather than living locally.
A genuine interest in global markets will be key, and an ambitious professional who offers global mobility should progress well within this complex multinational company. This role will pay from USD 160,000 base; plus bonus, plus package inclusive of equity.
There's a realistic list of "wish list" criteria for this hire over and beyond what is noted here, and we're happy to elaborate to interested professionals who should apply directly and in confidence via solutions@cartermorris.com and quoting reference CMTS00298
