Senior HR Site Manager – Toronto

This role is perfect for an ambitious HR professional with a strong foundation in the dynamics of a competitive, P&L-driven manufacturing business.  It will be ideal for a modern HR thinker who is constantly looking for ways to add measurable commercial value to the business and is comfortable working with senior leadership teams.

This well-established, multi-national company is going through a cycle of change, enhancing its production efficiencies, and upgrading their commercial approaches to market.  Consequently, this HR leader will be relied upon heavily to help with various change management projects, in addition to providing counsel on employee relations risks, organisational re-design, plus talent attraction, engagement & retention.  While solid HR foundations are in place, there is scope for further development and refinement.

There is no shortage of additional projects to be worked through including:

  • Fostering proactive and collaborative union relationships including participating in upcoming CBA negotiations

  • Application of Lean / Kaizen / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies to improve business efficiencies

  • Optimising workforce planning to boost productivity, manage succession pipelines, and facilitate knowledge transfer and benefits administration

  • Leadership development and coaching for management teams

The ideal candidate will have a stable career history within mid-to-large sized organisations and a proven track record of successfully managing labor relations, inclusive of CBA’s and, navigating complex, matrixed structures in a unionised manufacturing environment.

This is not a remote work arrangement; key stakeholders are seeking an HR leader who is highly visible and actively engaged – someone who will be an inspiring and supportive presence.  This position is based in the Toronto area, relocation support can be offered to eligible Canadian citizens.

Package includes a base salary starting from CAD 150,000 (potential to increase depending on expertise level) plus bonus and benefits package.
