After a period of acquisitions and mergers in addition to record market expansion, this global company needs an expert to deliver regional Talent Management initiatives that will help to consolidate operational changes, policy and process, plus unify cultures within one of their key company divisions - all with a view to driving future product innovation and fulfilling the career ambitions of their aspiring and existing management populations.

These leadership populations are scattered over various manufacturing and commercial sales hubs across Europe, and whilst they’re excited about learning programs, they’re yet to fully appreciate the value of baking leadership qualities and competencies into their cultural DNA of “this is how we do things here”, so ongoing education will be an ongoing priority within this role.

And, with significant numbers of the management ranks being made up of engineering, production and supply chain talent, the provision of robust and relevant Talent Management planning plus L&D support will be a key advantage for talent attraction, retention and ongoing engagement, in a highly competitive employment market.

So this person will need to be thinking about developing robust career and mobility pathways, adapting global leadership development programs for market relevancy, creating cross-functional and cross-cultural learning opportunities, monitoring succession planning and mentoring programs, and so much more!

This is a data-driven commercial environment where ROI is key, so we need a professional who can influence through analytics rather than pure emotion; and who can comfortably anticipate measurable commercial improvements as a result of Talent Management and Leadership Development interventions. 

Key at all times will be refinement of regional frameworks for global consistency, fairness, efficiency and transparency.

Our ideal professional will have a history of working successfully across the complicated matrix of multinational companies, for the first-hand understanding of what “good” Talent Management and great Leadership Development can comprise.  But this professional will have also had first-hand experience of the “getting stuck in” element that is part of any dynamic organisation experiencing year on year growth. 

Advanced commercial acumen will be critical, along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “now” as the constant deadline expectation!  This person will report into Global VP of Talent Management and a Regional HR Executive, whilst providing strategic advice to business leaders and various business executives inclusive of regional HR leaders, so exceptional written and verbal English will be essential in addition to inspiring presentation skills. 

We will ideally base this role from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and relocation support from the EU or the UK is available. As part of this role, some (planned) domestic and long haul travel should be expected.  This role is only available to current EU or UK citizens, or persons with current EU work visas.  Any experience in having lived and worked across multiple countries will be very highly regarded.  A base salary of circa EUR 120,000 plus package are on offer with genuine options to progress laterally and vertically within the company.
