Global HR Systems & Operations Leader - well resourced company in growth mode - Bracknell area, UK
HIGH PERFORMANCE LEADER COMMENCED AFTER SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OFFER
We’re seeking an accomplished team Director and HR technology expert for this multi billion dollar revenue company. They’re cash rich and have already invested significantly in their international HR capabilities. They continue to have significant appetite for experimenting with and implementing new technologies to improve HR service delivery and data analysis, that will enable informed decision making and trend identification.
With Workday recently implemented across their global sites, they need a professional to lead a team in the ongoing development of Workday tools, and to introduce, develop and manage an array of other technologies that will enable the HR function to offer efficient and pro active services to their business clients.
The project management focus of this role will suit a leader who knows how utilise resources to deliver solutions and services, without themselves being caught up “in the weeds” to effect results. A leader with the ability to successfully juggle large numbers of projects of varying sizes, without over committing or repeatedly falling victim to to scope blowouts! A leader who has exceptional consultation skills to understand what technology needs to actually be delivering, in order to be deemed a viable and commercial success by key HR stakeholders and the broader business.
This is an ideal role for a professional who will relish the opportunity to explore and innovate across a range of technologies, and who loves being a subject matter expert and advocate for the capabilities of varying systems, apps, and AI technologies to improve HR effectiveness.
This organisation has a variety of workforces across both white and blue collar profiles spanning every continent, with some people able to access technology easily and comfortably; and others who face real challenges with conventional technology access and utilisation.
However our executive teams have the maturity to recognise that robust technology frameworks will be key to enable significant and sustainable growth and it’s exciting to see they have the cash and C-suite support to invest in quality resources.
Our successful leader will offer the following:
Ideally deep knowledge of the Workday system.. However we’re also very open to leaders who have advanced knowledge of other HRIS systems and extensive system implementation and enhancement experience, in which case we will support training to achieve Workday system proficiency
A track record of achieving data quality and consistency - this company has grown rapidly over time so you can expect to inherit a variety of systems and Excel spreadsheets!
Ability to inspire and lead a team - with over 30 dedicated people around the world reporting into this person, we need a track record for successful team development and resource maximisation
Demonstrated success for harnessing virtual resources - this person will be regularly working through HR peers, Business Leaders, and the IT function; and will need to engage and direct a variety of stakeholders to achieve results
Exceptional project management skills, with a need to identify both current and future requirements for an array of technologies, and plan accordingly
Ideally, a history of working successfully across the complicated matrix of global companies
First-hand experience of the “getting stuck in” element that is part of any dynamically growing organisation.
Direct expertise for the due diligence and integration activities that accompany M&A events will be well regarded
Advanced communication and presentation skills - with a need to influence and impress the C-Suite and peer HR leaders right from the outset. This person will be the “bridge” to convey technical concepts and requirements to non-technical people on a daily basis!
Apologies, but our hiring execs have particular interest in stable tenure, salaried professionals who can evidence ongoing career development and promotion within their employer companies (rather than career contractors or experts who change roles after each project is complete)
Based ideally in the Bracknell area, we have some flex on remote work arrangements given the global nature of this role will entail regular and planned travel around the world. This permanent, salaried role will attract an annual base from circa £110,000 plus bonus, LTIP and a range of benefits - salary is expected to flex dependent on expertise levels.. This role isn’t for “wall flowers” and will best suit the professional who gets excited by the responsibilities of project ownership, change and challenge; and the impacts of new technology innovations.
The role will require current EU citizenship.
