This newly formed role is within another of our favourite “mission-driven” companies that is literally helping to save lives around the world. They’ve invested heavily in research and product development which has resulted in impressive market success and rapid company growth.

With further expansion plans on the agenda, we’re seeking a well-rounded talent acquisition professional who will help the company to continue to attract and engage niche skilled scientifically minded workforces. This TA leader will bring expertise to managing the full recruitment lifecycle for their own hiring requisitions, whilst being a strategic expert and “go-to” partner for an array of stakeholders inclusive of Business Executives and their leadership teams, along with HR leaders within the Netherlands and across the world.  

The existing TA team have some reasonably good process and tools for day-to-day service delivery and a cultural DNA that has enabled an unusually diverse workforce since the company was set up.  However, with an increasing scarcity of niche skilled, globally scarce, R&D specialist candidates, we need a holistically-minded TA professional who can guide and mentor less experienced TA team members, to innovate on more pro-active, creative, and resourceful solutions for enabling additional workforce expansion. Additionally, the company is still in the early stages of establishment, making this a good time for an experienced TA leader to contribute directly to building sustainable processes and frameworks and strategies that will allow this company to continue to be known as an “employer of choice”, whilst achieving aggressive market expansion plans.

Thought leadership will be welcomed to improve upon the utilization of tech, social media, AI, networks, referrals, sustainable pipelines, graduate hiring, EVP, plus "candidate experience" and more.  Given executive appetite for data and market intelligence, there are plenty of opportunities for this person to rapidly achieve great buy-in and a subject matter expert reputation across the organisation.

  • Advanced English will be essential for both written and verbal presentations to Executive level leaders; and attention to detail, will need to be exceptional.

  • Given the PhD community within this key workforce, a reputable university degree plus other tertiary education qualifications will be well regarded.

  • A TA professional who has historically worked within a recruitment agency or RPO setting, in addition to data-driven in-house environments would be very comfortable in this kind of company culture - the executive stakeholders are all keen for factual analysis to determine trends, risks, delivery performance, hiring quality and more, so your numeracy and analytics skills will need to be exceptional.

  • Sourcing and hiring across multiple European countries will be ideal to be able to advise first hand on cultural nuances and local market considerations.

  • Direct TA experience within R&D in a science-driven organisation will be valuable to help gain traction and credibility with key stakeholders quickly.

This is a hybrid home /  office-based role with flex - we can offer above-market relocation support into the Utrecht area, but can also offer this role to TA experts who prefer to travel from time to time into the Netherlands. A heft package is on offer, inclusive of STIP and LTIP and the base salary will flex depending on strategic experience levels.

This will be a particularly interesting career role for an ambitious TA professional who is keen to develop their knowledge and sector expertise, and additional career development options will be available to specialists who have an interest in working abroad in the future.
