Global HR Technology Architect - UK
Global HR technology designer for multinational company in growth mode, UK work base, deep knowledge of systems, apps, and HR operations essential!
Remit challenge: This global chemical company was looking for an experienced business architect to own the technology road map. Person would ideally be UK based whilst servicing an international remit, and would offer the scope for ongoing career development and progression. Fluent English & additional European languages were a preference. Working directly within a newly formed HR Technology Executive team, this HR technology architect would be instrumental in driving innovation across the global HR technology systems and processes, with an eye to achieving 3, 5 and 10 year strategic goals.
Hiring challenges: Finding exceptional HR professionals who could evidence a depth of knowledge for HR operations, HR technologies, business processes and agile project management experience as well as a genuinely commercial mindset, that were within budget, and open to a salaried rather than an interim contract role - demand for these types of technical experts for some years has been higher than the actual numbers of qualified people. We needed someone comfortable working in a highly matrixed, international environment, with real career trajectory and the potential to broaden out of this specialist field, who was also strong for communications with a wide variety of stakeholders - someone who was engaging rather than “geeky”!
Solution: Required an extensive search across the UK and Europe to isolate and then systematically “woo” the top talent within this niche market to consider a career move, especially as most were already invested in particularly interesting projects with their current employers, and felt well rewarded and valued. Our recommended candidates were interviewing with hiring execs in under 2 weeks of us taking the initial brief. We successfully secured a Business Architect to the role and our client was so impressed with the calibre of candidates presented they created an additional role for another of the candidates we had presented to them as part of this search.
