Senior ER Manager with fluent English and German
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Employee Relations expert for this mission driven company that is literally saving and improving lives around the world.
This person will support business and HR leaders at key production site and business units across Germany, as the subject matter expert for employment law, along with employee engagement policy & procedures. Complex case management, managing BEM processes, risk management advice for operational change programmes, resolution of employee and group grievances, minimisation of employer brand risk, agreement negotiations with work councils, and ongoing education across all management levels… these are just some of the responsibilities in this role. This person should possess extensive experience with German Works Councils.
This company has worked hard to reduce ER liabilities, but still strives to improve further as an employer of choice. So, this person will be expected to work pro-actively on strategic interventions to predict and prevent issues, rather than simply wading through disputes and “cleaning up” employee issues that should never have escalated in the first place.
Reporting into the Regional ER Leader, this Employee Relations expert should expect a lot of change, challenges and ambiguity due to ongoing company growth (organic expansion plus acquisitions), along with ongoing harmonisation programmes for historic acquisitions, and various organisational design programmes rolling through the company globally. There are many opportunities to capitalise on having input to further refinements for the company’s regional ER strategy, creating policy and identifying solutions, and making contributions to key projects!
This person can be based from the company’s offices in Frankfurt, Germany.
The role requires fluent written and spoken English and German language skills. Current EU Citizenship is essential and generous relocation assistance is on offer. Apologies but no residency/work visa sponsorship is available for this hire.
Other critical hiring criteria includes:
A stable career history working for mid-large sized companies (apologies but career contractors cannot be considered for this hire)
A track record of successfully navigating through complex matrix organisational structures
A strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach, and the ability to influence decision makers based on facts rather than emotions.
Exceptional attention to detail in designing processes, programmes, and reporting tools to effectively manage employee relations issues.
Ability to tailor communications and presentations to a diverse range of stakeholders
Strong presence and confidence, with the courage to influence and assert your position, while demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence.
You will be known as a thought leader – able to challenge the status quo and innovate new process and solutions to positive employee engagement results.
This high-profile role will be awarded a base salary from €120,000 and offers a particularly strong package of benefits and LTIP eligibility.
If this sounds like the challenge you’ve been seeking for your next career move, please do make contact directly. Interviews are being scheduled currently, with a view to an employment offer being extended in the coming weeks.
