Payroll and HR professional - Germany

If you’re the kind of professional who enjoys the variety of multi country payroll processes whilst providing “first contact” advice on an array of HR topics, this role could be perfect for you.  This is a “sole contributor” for payroll in the region, whilst also supporting circa 80 people across the German site, to find answers to a range of employee and management queries as their “go to” Payroll and HR professional.

As well as your strong payroll management expertise, due to the level of the majority across the HR function, you’ll also need a solid understanding of all the components that usually fall to a HR generalist role.

You will be working within a reputable, international company with access to support from HR leaders in other parts of the world, and as the company continues to grow, there will be genuine opportunities for you to continue broadening the scope of your role and responsibilities.

As part of the HR project team, there is no shortage of priorities to be worked through inclusive of:

  • payroll efficiency and vendor management

  • creating and effecting hiring strategies (further growth cannot happen without additional employees)

  • coaching business leaders (range of tenure and leadership skills)

  • managing workforce planning, knowledge transfer strategies and pension management for an aging workforce

  • building further engagement across the workforce

  • organisational design to maximise productivity

  • contributing to regional and international projects - the global HR function has no shortage of improvements they wish to make!

Importantly this person should be a visible presence - able to quickly and proactively engage with all stakeholders to show the true value that HR can add. We are looking for someone with the appetite to focus on solutions rather than problems and who brings a level of professionalism, energy, and inspiration to others. An understanding of German employment legislation will be required, and fluent English and German language skills are essential.

Given the company’s expansion plans, we are seeking a professional who has interest in taking on increasing levels of responsibility.

Based in the Märkischer Kreis region, with options for flexible remote working as well, the role includes a base salary of circa EUR 80,000 (depending on experience level) plus benefits package.

If this sounds like the kind of varied role that will be a fit to your skills, interests and expertise, please do make contact in confidence today - we’ll be happy to share additional details.
