Senior Director HRBP, with genuine progression

This multinational employer is seeking an HR leader with deep experience in supporting STEM communities, to drive ongoing market expansion, product innovation, operational efficiencies, and an innovative talent management agenda.

The company is a “poster child” for success in their niche product market but still has strong growth prospects, due to ongoing R&D investment that is creating new product development and market opportunities, plus significant M&A activity around the world. Maintaining agile, continuously improving, technical functions, and seeking opportunities for further digital and automated technologies will be key to ongoing market competitiveness. The existing HR team has been credited as key to enabling the company’s historic success, creating high levels of executive appetite to continue building up HR capabilities, thus the creation of this new role.

This HR leader will lead and be tasked to inspire and develop a mid-sized team of HRBP’s scattered around the world to improve on proactive HR service delivery; and will be a key advisor & contributor to the global HR executive team.   Additionally, this person will have access to well-established HR CoE's for deep technical expertise.

A blend of technical, engineering and commercial workforces will provide many challenges to change given the level of expertise they have in their own core niches.  Certainly a key challenge will be fostering ongoing creativity and innovation and entrepreneurialism; tempered with more robust and sustainable frameworks  in a regulatory environment with heavy compliance needs.  This is also the kind of workforce who are influenced by data and number and logical, factual reasoning, rather than emotion; so this leader will need to be up to date on tech and comfortable with analytics!

This company has a proven culture of respecting and caring for its employees - these values are hardwired into the DNA of its C-suite team.  We have worked with this organization repeatedly as they’ve grown and can vouch for high-performance leaders across the HR function being given “stretch” projects, formal development opportunities, and promotions based on merit rather than tenure.

Success in this role will be helped for the senior level HR Business Partner who offers:

  • Advanced commercial acumen along with credible leadership presence, and the ability to deal with “now” as the constant deadline expectation!

  • Exposure to M&A either from due diligence and/or integration & harmonisation perspectives

  • Extensive Leadership experience across different geographic regions

  • Direct experience in working within a “can do” company culture

  • Well-rounded expertise for all the specialty areas of HR

  • A track record for delivering solutions to enable effective organisational change and talent management for international workforces across multiple continents

  • Authentic curiosity for tech innovation and the ability to influence through data and factual reasoning, rather than emotion without evidence

  • A stable, salaried career history that shows clear career progression and professional development will be well regarded.  Unfortunately, career contractors will not be considered at this time

The role will be based out of Middlesex County, MA, so ideally, the candidate will be located in this region and able to work in a hybrid office/home setup, with periodic but planned international travel. Relocation support is also on offer outside of the region. We have flex on salary with a minimum base of USD 250,000 + exec bonus & benefits package + LTIP.   This is a high-profile role, and success will certainly provide many ongoing development & progression opportunities including a pathway as the successor to the current CHRO.

This person will offer well-rounded HR expertise and a track record for delivering sustainable results with Director/Senior Director level responsibilities. A history of living within other countries whilst managing multi market responsibilities will be highly regarded as will any multilingual skills. No work visa sponsorship is available so current US citizenship, or a valid US green card is essential.
